Mount Victoria

Mount Victoria offers beautiful, 360 degree views of the city, the harbour and the ocean. You can choose to drive all the way up or hike across the beautiful terrain and enjoy the journey. You can see the beautiful Tinakori Valley, the Hut Valley, Miramar Peninsula etc while enjoying the best sunsets and sunrises!

 

Te Papa Tongarewa

The Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa holds artefacts and relics from the native Maori civilization of ancient New Zealand. You can learn about the art and culture and living habits of the people of these times. There are several exhibitions held there throughout the year and you can plan your trip accordingly. Entertainment events, exhibition tours and lectures are held here regularly, so if you are so inclined, you may join in.

 

Food

Wellington is known for its culinary adventures, and you can embark on the same. There are several interesting restaurants and bars in the vicinity, where you can go and taste some scrumptious local food. Craft beers, Pavlova, Kiwi Meat Pie and Hangi are some of the local favourites. Zealandia

This is a beautiful wildlife sanctuary in Wellington. There are rare species of birds and animals here and you can find the most amazing, hidden hiking trails. From Kiwis and Takahē to Tuatara, you will spot some of the most exotic endangered species here. Along with the wildlife, you can witness different terrains and landscapes.

 

Oriental Bay Waterfront

There are several beaches and bays in Wellington and it would be a crime to not visit some of these places, which are full of life and are truly amazing. Sunbathe on one of the beaches or try water sports on Oriental Bay and Scorching Bay. You can also visit Island Bay, Lyall Bay or Shelly Bay.

 

Cuba Street

From colourful bars and cafes to art galleries, this is the place you should be if you are looking for all things fun and interesting. The Bucket Fountain and marionette show are the main attractions here and you should definitely enjoy it when you are around.
