A small town 6km north of Pondicherry, Auroville is an experimental community founded in 1968 by Mirra Alfassa. Paradise Beach

Sri Manakula Vinayagar Temple

Here you can also see handicrafts, items from the French colonial times such as coins and furniture, and archaeological findings from the Arikamedu Roman settlement.
