Symphony of Lights
Winner of the Guinness World Records for “World’s Largest Permanent Light and Sound Show”, The Symphony of Lights is now all the more bigger and grander. Over 40 buildings in the area of Victoria Harbour have been added to this show. It is an unforgettable experience to watch the dazzling spectacle of lights and music here.
Victoria Peak
Perched atop ‘The Peak’ at a height of 396 metres above sea level, this place is an architectural marvel. The Sky Terrace here offers exhilarating views of the city. It is one of the highest 360° viewing platforms in the world. Victoria Peak is also dotted with lots of restaurants and shops.
Ocean Park
Easily, one of the must-visit attractions in Hong Kong, the iconic Ocean Park now features about 40 exciting rides and attractions. The park has bagged lots of awards, including the 33rd Most Visited Tourist Attractions in the World and The World’s Seventh Most Popular Amusement Park.
Hollywood Road
If you want to go souvenir hunting or explore local culture, you just can’t afford to miss Hollywood Road and Upper Lascar Row. The street has an open-air curio market and lots of bustling antique shops selling unique goods such as ancient snuff bottles, Mao badges, lotus lamps, and Ming dynasty furniture.
Tai O Fishing Village
Visit this village to explore the traditional Chinese way of life. Narrow lanes full of small shops and stilt houses on the river are all reminiscent of an era gone by. The village is largely inhabited by the Tanka people; they are the descendants of the first settlers in Hong Kong. Make sure that you check out the views from the bridge across the river.
Avenue of Stars
Modelled on the lines of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the Avenue of Stars is a popular attraction amongst tourists, especially film buffs. It is located in Tsim Sha Tsui along the waterfront area of Victoria Harbour.
Ngong Ping 360
Step into the Cable Car here and ride away to feast your eyes on the magnificent landscape. The Ngong Ping Village is situated in Lantau Island near the Tian Tan Buddha Statue and the Ngong Ping Cable Car Terminal. The area is also famous for the Giant Buddha – the largest outdoor bronze statue in the world.
